We are putting together a weekend tour for our POC members to share some of the memories we have made together over the last half-century!! We are going to celebrate over two days in the beautiful areas of Batavia, Geneva and St Charles.
Packards Of Chicagoland’s 50th Anniversary – September 21 & 22, 2019
Our meet hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn in St Charles; rooms have been reserved for our POC members on Saturday night, September 21 at the rate of $96. This tour is in our own “backyard yard” and designed especially for our POC members. We hope we will see you there!!
Saturday morning, September 21, we will meet in Geneva for brunch at the Egg Harbor Café. This is a popular spot so we recommend staggering arrival times as they do not take reservations. (Ladies we have been told there are some specialty shops in that general area for a little extra curricular shopping!) After brunch we will travel to Batavia for our 1:30 pm private tour at the Batavia home and garage of Bob and Sheila Joint. Bob and Sheila are friends, fellow POC members… and wonderful hosts! It is a very special treat to be given access to their cars and other non-automotive collections and displays. You won’t want to miss this visit!
We plan to leave Bob and Sheila’s around 3:00 pm. At that time there will be a choice of several additional venues for you to explore before we decide it is time for you to check in and get ready for dinner. You can see a list of possible tour venues and dinner options on the following pages.
Sunday morning, we will be getting ready for our Anniversary Banquet at The Hotel Baker in St Charles. We have planned a luncheon in the Waterfront Room overlooking the Fox River. We will have time to visit and reminisce and enjoy a meal together. (Long-time members may remember a winter banquet we held here many, many years ago!)
